Welcome to HWASHIN KOREA UNIVERSITY!

We are delighted to announce the launch of HWASHIN KOREA UNIVERSITY, an exclusively Korean university in Uzbekistan, as part of the 30th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Uzbekistan. This milestone reflects our “special strategic partnership” established on January 29, 1992 and enhanced by President Mirziyoyev’s visit to Korea on April 19, 2019. Through this partnership, we have fostered long-term cooperation in various fields, such as health, energy, smart city, information and communication technologies, and education.

Vision Our vision is to offer a modern curriculum that meets international standards and to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in the global market. We also aim to establish “universities and technical education institutions for vocational technical education necessary in industry” in accordance with the goal of Uzbekistan’s cooperation in the field of education.

Opening We are excited to welcome our first cohort of students on September 4, 2023 (provisional). Our state-of-the-art campus will feature cutting-edge facilities, such as laboratories, libraries, and dormitories. Our faculty and staff will deliver high-quality teaching and support services to ensure a positive and rewarding learning experience.

Korean Experience Gain valuable experience and exposure to Korean culture and society by spending a certain time period in Korea during your four-year studies. You can choose from summer intensive programs or student exchange programs.

Dual Degrees Earn two diplomas in four years by enrolling in our programs, 2+2 and 3+1, in partnership with leading Korean universities, such as Hanyang University, Gachon University, and Hankyong National University.

The Korean Language Learn Korean from the best teachers and resources at our university. In cooperation with the Korean Education Center (Director Paeng, Ju-Man) and by building the two organizations in Nurafshan (i.e., Nurafshan Korea Center and TOPIK Test Center) shortly, we will offer free online classes for Korean language learners of all levels.

Korean Professors Learn from the leading Korean professors with expertise and experience in their fields. Our professors will provide high-quality teaching and mentoring to help you achieve your academic goals.

Various Programs Depending on your convenience and needs, you can select a program from Morning Programs, Afternoon Programs, and Extramural Programs. For extramural programs, we provide video content recorded by Korean professors, the first approach in Uzbekistan. You can take advantage of lower tuition fees by taking the extramural program.

Employment Opportunities Secure your future career by participating in our guarantee programs in cooperation with companies and institutions in Korea and Uzbekistan. We will help you find the best job opportunities that match your skills and interests.

Graduate Programs After finishing an undergraduate program at HKU, pursue your master’s or doctoral degree at one of our partner universities in Korea. We offer opportunities for students to apply for the Global Korea Scholarship (GKS) program and to receive financial support for their studies.

The world is actively developing in various directions, and science goes hand in hand with the improvement of technology. And it is quality education that comes to the fore in achieving success and further self-improvement of a modern person.

The world has been implementing the fourth industrial revolution, in which all countries are involved at different stages.

The Republic of Korea has already accumulated sufficient experience in this direction to share it on the path of dynamic development and reorganization of the socio-economic sphere in the Republic of Uzbekistan. One of these changes is a new paradigm of education that allows us to develop and create innovative methods and theories, research, and standards.

That is why the central word in the concept of our university has become “Hwashin” (화신), which means “Fusion & Innovation”. By combining advanced technologies and achievements of the Korean education system with the idea of an innovative approach and scientific character, our university offers a new approach to education, which undoubtedly contributes to the development processes of Uzbekistan.

Students at Hwashin Korea University will receive both a high-level education but also a unique experience of self-development that will allow them to become international-level professionals in their field and community. Also, the Liberal arts education will provide the necessary interpersonal communication skills in a multicultural world.
